ANOTHER BIRTHDAY

today we'll honour a great actress, who is going to be - do you sit? - 70 today. vanessa redgrave. i totally adore her. and even though she is completely different from signora loren who is nearly the same age, she is extraordinairy beautiful ... i do not encourage her to take (nearly) nude pictures for a wheel calender, but i also wouldn't tell her she shouldn't =D

so to honour miss redgrave i'll recomend to watch "if this walls could talk 2" tonight or for all the aj addicts in this freaky little community, girl interrupted ... or you might watch smilla's sense of snow??? blow up? howards end? damn she did a lot of movies, watch one tonight

and the song of the day is the only vanessa in my librairie

artist: vanessa paradis
song: one

is it getting better
or do you feel the same
will it make it easier on you now
you got someone to blame
you say...

one love
one life
when it's one need
in the night
one love
we get to share it
leaves you baby if you
don't care for it

did i disappoint you
or leave a bad taste in your mouth
you act like you never had love
and you want me to go without
well it's...

too late
tonight
to drag the past out into the light
we're one, but we're not the same
we get to
carry each other
carry each other
one...

have you come here for forgiveness
have you come to raise the dead
have you come here to play Jesus
to the lepers in your head

did i ask too much
more than a lot
you gave me nothing
now it's all i got
we're one
but we're not the same
well we
hurt each other
then we do it again
you say
love is a temple
love a higher law
love is a temple
love the higher law
you ask me to enter
but then you make me crawl
and i can't be holding on
to what you got
when all you got is hurt

one love
one blood
one life
you got to do what you should
one life
with each other
sisters
brothers
one life
but we're not the same
we get to
carry each other
carry each other

one...life

one

TALKS # 22 - A HEART FOR TONI

this one was evil! but it made me understand the trouble tOni goes through each time i force her to kick out songs she loves, because we have only an hour. my heart nearly broke when i was forced to reduce myself to 10 movies i love. and it doesn't took a whole night to sink in that i forgot to mention at least 20 great movies i should have mentioned. i think i failed supreme on this one... another podcast on request ... a mean theme ... movies ... i mean i wasn't quite sure if i should better talk about the movie or the songs ... i am afraid i have to do some more movie podcasts ... maybe one just about musicals, what will probably lead to another series of ten ... and what about a podcast just about my favourite gay movies? or my favourite classix ... i can do at least three shows about johnny depp and tim burton, not to mention jim jarmusch ... what i did, not mentioning him (slamming flat hand against forehead)! ... anyway, i think this podcast will have a snowball effect ... i mean i haven't spoken about marilyn monroe, katherin hepburn, audrey hepburn, brigitte bardot, catherine deneuve, fuck i forgot to mention 8 femmes ... aaaaaaaaah, i need more structure, i need more time ... i need your kindness again

take this as the first attempt to TRY to name the ministries favourite movies. but the problem is, i saw too many, and i love too many and i feel bad because not mentioning so many others i love, they have not deserved such a treatment!!!

but anyway, i hope you find it a bit interesting, i hope you saw the movies i mention, that's nicer because of the "yesyes, that scene was great"-thing and if not, i can tell you where you can get them ... and i have to do another one just about gay movies!!! so take this one as a teaser, just a tiny little glimpse into the ministries celulloid closet

oh and if anyone know a word i can use instead of great, mail me, i need it ... i think i overused great a bit in this one ;D

MYSTERIOUS MUSTARD

"what the hell is dijon mustard?"

ok, this is dijon mustard ... it comes from the city of dijon in france, me preferes this on by maille, a company that produces mustard and vinegar since the 17th century. their mustard was famous at courts in whole europe that time ... unfortunately the last member of the family maille died away in the late years of 18th century. then monsieur de rothschild bought the company. after that it was sold a lot and now it belongs to unilever ... what is the european twin of procter&gamble i think ... but who cares, the mustard is still delicious! =D

WHAT??? - i told you, this year we'll be more educational - ok, smartassing - as usual ;D

and to be kind, i will give you NO celine dijon as treat of the day =D i will give you something else that worships this fine fine mustard

artist: donna summer
song: hot stuff
album: black party grooves vol. 1

wanna bring a wild man back home

gotta have some hot love baby this evenin'
i need some hot stuff baby tonight
i want some hot stuff baby this evenin'
gotta have some lovin'

HOT CHICK - THE RECIPE

ok, the most difficult thing with this recipe is to squeeze it out of tOni ... so from here on it is easy!!

get as much chickenbreast as you want to eat, normally one (or two small ones) per person you want to feed. then you need some chicory ... again one or two per person, (we had three for two, that was perfect) and cocktail tomatoes ... you know, these nice small ones ... take five or six per person, then you need salt, pepper, a cup of cream and of course the divine dijon mustard ... it HAS TO BE dijon mustard!!!

first you put some salt and pepper on the chickenbreasts, then you butter the chicken with the mustard and let it marinate for a few hours (two will be enough but the longer the better)

then roast the breasts carefully in olive oil - watch out, they should not get brown ... when the chick is nearly done, get it out of the pan, put it on a plate and cover them. then cut the chicory in half and put it into the pan, roast it a bit and add the cream, let it boil a bit and wait until the chicory is nearly done. while you wait, cut the tomatoes in half and add them. try it, and add some more salt and pepper if you like.

and TA-DAH you are done ... put it on a plate and serve it ... anddon't blame us when the neighbours bang against the wall in dislike of your moans of delight ;D

and the song of today is just about the title: TO CHINA (the plate) WITH LOVE *roflmao

artist: mando dia
song: to china with love
album: bring 'em in

get on the train cause i'm tired of you, boy
you can come back when you're dressed in blue
you won't get a penny of using me
i'm gonna send you home and hit you on sunday

don't look so small, i'm not bigger than you
but i've got blues enough to smash your bones
i've lit up my life with those matches i've got
from those who stood by me when i was in pain, boy

you're too near me nasty boy-girl
it's pretty bad that you're still around
i'm gonna laugh when you're down and out, boy
i'm gonna laugh when you're on that lonesome ride

back all the way to china in a police car from japan, oh yeah
sitting in the backseat crying
where's your pride?

getting my feet all drained in mud,
i'm gonna clean them when i'm done with you
i don't give a damn if your filthy too
i've got enough soup for my whole generation

your too near me nasty boy-girl.
it's pretty bad that you're round my hood
i'm gonna laugh when you're down and out boy
i'm gonna laugh when you're on that lonesome ride

but all the way to china

drop your blood in china,
you will get rid of that mighty stone, oh yeah
people told me you were a rich man now
where's your pride?

TALKS # 20 - WHAT YOU USE TO KNOW ABOUT EUROPE

i don't know what you know about europe yet, but i know that the assumptions about europeans are wrong ... in most of the cases. not every german wears a lederhose, not every french has a baguette under his arm (only 80%) and last week they found a swedish guy without blond hair ... not everyone over here is well behaved, as your parents might try to make you believe ... i mean ... do you know why europe is called europe? - here's the story: europe (or as we call her europa) was a princess and zeus, tarned as a bull, kidnapped her to ... well, do what zeus always did with young ladies ... the thing is, europe was laid on the back of bull-zeus, and slept during the whole voyage to kreta!!! - and you know why? because that chick danced her ass off the whole night before he catched her! - and you want to know what exactly made her jump through the night? folkmusic of course ... and now, there's the next big missunderstanding ... folkmusic! some people might have told you, that european folkmusic is nice and full of harmony, praising the landscapes, the history the whatever ... forget it! there are wild folks living in europe, crazy folks, silly folks ... and you have the chance to listen to their music =D

make sure you have enough space around you, when you start listen to it, because you might feel the urge to jump ... oh, and drinking will be also very helpfull to get through this ridicilous piece of audible molesting, that was produced to introduce you to our dark and dangerous side and is called the wild folks of europe

and for all of you, that make it through the whole podcast ... there's a hidden track just to reward you for your efforts ;D

tracks in order of appearance

u samowara - cora frost

calen bite - vuco

poika - hubert von goisern

TALKS # 19 - OBVIOUS THINGS

before we start, i have to clear a few questions, that popped up during this podcast

the bearded tenor we were talking about is luciano pavarotti, la madrague is not a matress it is an area in the south of france and tOni will send out the receipe of the dish on request =D

so we were talking about the obvious things ... on the female body ... right breasts. ok, we talked about the left one too ... i never thought this theme will confuse me this much, but it did, so the first part of this thing is packed with stuttering nico ... and a very sassy tOni, who obviously worked on her english during the holiday break ... we had a great time we laughed A LOT ... and we think it is the best podcast we make so far. and it was definitely the best food we had during podcasting!!! ... anyway, forgive us that we spoke with our mouths full this often, but it was impossible to stop eating! have i mentioned i LIKE eating??? tOni sings a bit, she embarasses the ministress without reason ... TWICE!! and to make it short ... someone said we are crazy ... well, i think THIS is a new stage of CRAZY =D i mean have you ever hear of a podcast before that contains turandot AND samatha fox????

have lots of fun with this crap and don't be afraid, we will explain why this thing is called bagged by destiny

and this year, we want mail!!! so mail us! mail us the answers to our questions, mail us theme requests, mail us receipes for the next eating session, mail us whatever you like but mail us! we want feedback =D you can reach us here: sillylistens@gmx.de

GIRL; PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!!!

today the blackwell-list was released ... it names the most horrible dressed women of the last year ... and the best dressed too, i only say heidi klum ... whatever, back to the ladies that punished our eyes ... especially mrs. federline

excuse this interruption i had to search for my little bootie which i unfourtunately laughed off by the thought of her ... anyway ... this picture of miss spears ... *phew, that's better ... exiting a car and showing the whole world something ME was not interested to see, is burned into my poor rethina ... but i have to admit that i enjoyed miss hilton in that burger commercial =D ... anyway, the song of today is a german song ... so we are a little bit elitistic today, but it fits so well ... here's one line translated

you undressed yourself to teach us fear
to enlighten the world about the female physics

...

put some clothes on girl
because who has talent, girl
puts every now and then, girl
a little bit clothes on her body

artist: wir sind helden
song: zieh dir was an

perfekt in jedes marketingkalkül

zieh dir was an - mädchen
wer etwas kann - mädchen
zieht dann und wann - mädchen
ein bisschen was an

zieh dir was an - mädchen

was glaubst du, was das bringt, außer dreckigen zoten

I CAN SEE!!!!!!

i thought i will be cursed with blindness until november, but then an austrian angel came and made me see =D HAH!! and isn't alice gorgeous?
ok, my eyes will be squares in no times and i will probably will just speek in l-word-phrases from now on but ... who cares =D

and with all my overwhelmed heart here is the song of the day ... maybe a little bit over the top, but definitely better than the original theme song ;D

artist: frankie valli
song: can't take my eyes off of you
album: greatest hits vol. 2

you're just too good to be true;
can't take my eyes off of you.
you'd be like Heaven to touch;
i wanna hold you so much.
at long last love has arrived,
i thank god i'm alive.
you're just too good to be true;
can't take my eyes off of you.

Pprdon the way that i stare:
there's nothing else to compare.
the sight of you leaves me weak;
there are no words left to speak.
but if you feel like i feel,
please let me know that it's real,
you're just too good to be true;
can't take my eyes off of you.

i love you, baby!
and if it's quite alright,
i need you, baby,
to warm a lonely night.
i love you, baby;
trust in me when i say.
oh, pretty baby,
don't bring me down, i pray.
oh, pretty baby,
now that i found you, stay.
and let me love you, baby,
let me love you.

you're just too good to be true;
can't take my eyes off of you.
you'd be like Heaven to touch;
i wanna hold you so much.
at long last love has arrived,
i thank god i'm alive.
you're just too good to be true;
can't take my eyes off of you.

i love you, baby!
and if it's quite alright,
i need you, baby,
to warm a lonely night.
i love you, baby;
trust in me when i say.
oh, pretty baby,
don't bring me down, i pray.
oh, pretty baby,
now that i found you, stay.
oh pretty baby,
trust in me when i say.

i need you, baby!
well won't you come stay
oh. pretty baby.
now that i found you, stay.
and let me love you, baby.
let me love you.

DEFINITELY MY FIRST POST IN 2007

*sigh

we lost james brown on december 25th ... the minister of super heavy funk

the ministress is sad ...

but because life goes on i will think of him with thankfulness while listening to his great music ... and that leads me to the song of the day!!!

so, first of all my dear little possums (yes i still love dame edna) i hope you all had a fantastic holiday, received huge gifts at christmas, had a great new years eve, kissed a lot of delicious women, your hangover wasn't tooo bad and you aren't mad at me because i wasn't here yesterday to tell you about the 4 pounds my mother added to my hips (i am working on getting them off already)

my year started a bit turbulent, but lucky me had an open ear and an open heart and not to forget open arms ... i can tell you ... hugging helps! whatever it is ... hugging helps!

so i wish you all the best for this new year and hope you'll always find some arms to hold you.

and before i get all sentimental AGAIN... here's the song for today

artist: james brown
song: i feel good
album: turn it loose

wwoa-oa! i feel good, i knew that i would, now
i feel good, i knew that i would, now
so good, so good, i got you

whoa! i feel nice, like sugar and spice
i feel nice, like sugar and spice
so nice, so nice, Iigot you

[sax, two licks to bridge]

when i hold you in my arms
i know that i can't do no wrong
and when i hold you in my arms
my love won't do you no harm

and i feel nice, like sugar and spice
i feel nice, like sugar and spice
so nice, so nice, i got you

[sax, two licks to bridge]

when i hold you in my arms
i know that i can't do no wrong
and when i hold you in my arms
my love can't do me no harm

and i feel nice, like sugar and spice
i feel nice, like sugar and spice
so nice, so nice, well i got you

whoa! i feel good, i knew that i would, now
i feel good, i knew that i would
so good, so good, i got you
so good, so good, i got you
so good, so good, i got you
