TALKS # 20 - WHAT YOU USE TO KNOW ABOUT EUROPE
i don't know what you know about europe yet, but i know that the assumptions about europeans are wrong ... in most of the cases. not every german wears a lederhose, not every french has a baguette under his arm (only 80%) and last week they found a swedish guy without blond hair ... not everyone over here is well behaved, as your parents might try to make you believe ... i mean ... do you know why europe is called europe? - here's the story: europe (or as we call her europa) was a princess and zeus, tarned as a bull, kidnapped her to ... well, do what zeus always did with young ladies ... the thing is, europe was laid on the back of bull-zeus, and slept during the whole voyage to kreta!!! - and you know why? because that chick danced her ass off the whole night before he catched her! - and you want to know what exactly made her jump through the night? folkmusic of course ... and now, there's the next big missunderstanding ... folkmusic! some people might have told you, that european folkmusic is nice and full of harmony, praising the landscapes, the history the whatever ... forget it! there are wild folks living in europe, crazy folks, silly folks ... and you have the chance to listen to their music =D
make sure you have enough space around you, when you start listen to it, because you might feel the urge to jump ... oh, and drinking will be also very helpfull to get through this ridicilous piece of audible molesting, that was produced to introduce you to our dark and dangerous side and is called the wild folks of europe
and for all of you, that make it through the whole podcast ... there's a hidden track just to reward you for your efforts ;D

AHH! NICO! I loved this podcast!
Great music and a lesson too! I do think that polka was a bit to fast to actually dance a polka. Butt, jumping around works!
Have a great weekend!!
I just finished listening! As Seymour says, "AHH! NICO! I loved this podcast!"
Great picks on the songs. Thanks, kiddo.
As I read over the song titles, I'm thinking this:
For real, you should think locally, fuck globally, voto latino and do it to a gypsy beat.
Si, I am loco.
