my first record!

isn't it a pretty one? i was away for i think five years? seven? maybe ten? definitely i was gone for six months... completely. i had my earplugs and these songs i didn't need anything more... i nearly was sent home from a school trip because i refused to take of my walkman while we were hiking. i mean, my teacher told me i should better listen to the sound of the woods instead of that crap. great idea... a kid grewing up in a small village, or more specific in the forest that surrounded this village, had surely never heard "the sound of the woods" before!
well that schooltrip =D *sigh that reminds me... i was so madly in love with a classmate... =D *sighsighsigh well HER would have been something i MIGHT took that headphones of for... maybe =D

anyway... there are a lot of great songs on that album. of course there is "who's that girl" and "here comes the rain again" but i also loved "paint a rumor" and, of course "the first cut" but remember, i was a pretty undecided little fly agaric back then and i didn't realized it instantly... but looking backwards i think the most important song for me on that album was this.

i tried to manage my life under that motto... of course i failed a few times, but i'm still trying...

artist: eurythmics
song: no fear, no hate, no pain (no broken hearts)
album: touch

well in the morning
when our day begins
and it feels like cold
cold
steel HA!
and when the sun comes up
it's like a new commotion
you say
nobody told you it would
feel like this

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

you've got the killing gun
held in your hand
it feels like cold
cold
steel
and when the sun comes up
it's like a new commotion
you say
shoot
shoot
shoot it up
shoot it up

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

and when the sun comes up
it makes a new commotion
you say
nobody told you it would
feel like this

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no gimme no, gimme no fear)

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts

(no) fear
(no) hate
(no) pain
(no) broken hearts
