a new week - a new theme!

and this time it's gonna be really silly. whatever you think, i was just warming up. so this week will be a wonderful and sentimental journey back to nico's past. i told you - nothing sillier than that is possible.
anyhow... the first record i ever owned was a funny little compilation of childrens song - i don't know why but i always thought the cover looked like one of my babypictures... i sang every single tune of that album from the top of my lungs even though i had mumps when i got it... later in my life i went a bit more silent, ah yes, i know you don't believe that... but who asked you?? ... where was i... silent! i should have used a what, shouldn't i ?!? don't mind... so someone anywhere watched over me or maybe i was just lucky, but my eyes fell on annie lennox those days. and from the first second i saw her, i knew whatever this woman sings is made for me. the first album i ever bought by myself after saving my allowance for a whole month was touch. their third album- of which we will speek later this week. it was often mistaken as their second one after sweet dreams but most of the people forget their first album in the garden, we also might speek about that later... would you please stop laughing? yes me is silly but not that silly. the album is called IN THE GARDEN noone forgot it there stupid! =D but that's definitely a joke of my taste... anyway

today - for starters, we will look at one later piece, where i found a song that really moved me. it is pretty close to my favourite "explain everything"-song .... all together: the origin of love from hedwig and the angryy inch, thank you...

artist: eurythmics
song: when the day goes down
album: we too are one

well don't you cry now -
don't go drowning in your tears
haven't you learnt anything
after all these years?

all god's little children
are beautiful and pure
and you're as good
as all of them
of this you can be sure

and we are just the same
underneath the shadows
of the sun
and we are just the same
no more no less than anyone

all the people
of this lonely world
have a piece of pain inside
don't go thinking
you're the only one
who ever broke right down
and cried

that's when the rain comes down
that's when the rain comes down

and this is for the broken dreamers
this is for vacant souls
this is for the hopeless losers
this is for the helpless fools
and the burnt out and the useless
and the lonely and the weak
and the lost and the degraded
and the too down to speak

and the day goes down
that's when the day
goes down
