my favourite eurythmics album!

i always asked myself, why especially this album was so underestimated. i think it's wonderful. they started very experimental... then they hit a spot with sweet dreams... my beloved touch was packed with hits (AY think, the top ten is overrated..) after that came the soundtrack to the big brother movie 1984 - strange music!!! =D followed by two total mainstream discs. be yourself tonight was still their music, but they wanted big success in america with these, so they did songs together with elvis costello and aretha franklin... nothing against these two but was that nessecary? and i was so disappointed by revenge... what a big title, what a sucking album... revenge is their worst peace ithink. and after that they went back to the roots. and promptly only "you've placed a chill in my heart" was a selling success... but i love it. it's my favourite. and one of my favourite songs of it is this:

artist: eurythmics
song: savage
album: savage

words of power are killing me
while the sun displays its teeth.
all mockery is laughing
all violence is cheap.
she said...
"these are my guns
these are my furs
this is my living room."
"you can play with me there sometimes
if you catch me in the mood."
savage
savage
savage
you savage

she said...
"i have this unhappiness
to wear around my neck."
"it's a pretty piece of jewellery
to show what i protect."
she said...
"everything is fiction
all cynic to the bone."
"so don't ask me to stay with you
don't ask to see me home."
savage
savage
savage
you savage

savage
savage
you
savage

savage
