extension!

last week was short... good for everyone who likes to stay away from the desk... bad for the wonderful pieces of entertainment i like best... dragqueenmusicalmovies!
and just because we have so many of them yet unmentioned... this week we'll go on with it. starting with one of my favourites: connie and carla. i loved toni collette since she played in muriels wedding. then she was a brilliant courtney love copy in velvet goldmine too blonde in in her shoes but simply wonderful in connie and carla...
it's a hilarious story about two girls who have to hide from drugdealers (you laugh your ass of when the kilo cocain "explodes" in the car!) they end up pretending to be dragqueens... a woman pretends to be a man who pretends to be a woman?!? - yes, we will talk about victor/victoria later this week... i love this movie! even if you might throw in, that it is not a real dragqueen movie, because the girls are girls... before i say that there are dragqueens in it, i say DON'T BE SUCH A BIGOTT! i mean who cares! it's a wonderful movie with brilliant songs including the one i'm going to add... which is complicated, because i couldn't find the original soundtrack.. this movie is treated so bad by the industry, it was high time that finally me is featuring it a bit =D
AND i found out that they will show it in amsterdam this year during canal pride... whoever has the chance to go there... go... it is great! fantastic... next week i will talk about that! so i'll add the song that is the kickoff of c&c's career in west hollywood and i take the original not the "cc original" ... who cares, watch the movie and you'll understand everything =D
