THE POWER OF THE ALPHABET

a busy day today at the womens football worldcup in china. group a and b played, that means 4 games today. start with the boring stuff, germany dared to make a goal- and tensionfree draw against england. i don't know if they are bored after the 11 goals against argentina, me was after the game ... and japan won over the poor argentinians 1:0 so japan is on second place in our group. so if they beat us (HAHAHAHAHAHA) and england will win over argentina (what could happen, i mean think of the falkland crisis) we are out of the tournament ...YIKES!!! ... but probably we'll win and end on first place and the english girls should be able to beat argentina (come on, lets be honest, they are the tournament victims, canonfood) so they'll be second with 5 points.

much more interesting are things in group b where korea still leads just by alphabetical order ... you might remember? they had draws in these group. today the us girls won over sweden with 2:0 so they have 4 points now, 4 goals shot and 2 goals taken. unfourtunately the korean team won 2:0 over nigeria too, so they also have 4 points, 4 goals shot and two goals taken. the question is now, how will they play against their last group oponent... regularly the decision is made by points. a victory is worth 3 points, a draw 1. so if both teams win they are even in points. then the decision will be made by difference of goals, if they both win with the same result (for example 2:0) this will be even too, then the decision is made by how the teams played against each other, what is also even because of the draw. but a decision must be made because the first of the groups gets an advantage by playing against the probably less good second of another group. so they probably will flip coins ... in a worldcup ... they better decide in on the field. and hopefully the us girls will end as first because otherwise we'll be your oponent in the quarterfinals and have to kick you out. sorry, not my fault, it's just a game, but hey, we'll become worldchampions, no question.

oh and just for the record, miss wambachs head isdefinitely better, because she shot both goals (one by penalty) and our deliciously tattoed mis kai wasn't on field at all ... maybeshe would have shot the third goal and what would have made this group less complicated. *sigh ... anyway, i hope you got the conflict, i know it is complicated, if you didn't get it, mail me ... i'll draw a scheme ;D
