GABBA GABBA HEY

november first... birthday of the extraordinairy miss toni collette. isn't it simply impossible not to fall in love with this smile???

anyway, for the maybe two people who don't know her... miss collette is a wonderful australian actress... a bit to much into the american movie scene right at the moment, what gets visual at her being too thin!!! ... hey, maybe we'll meet sometime, than i can feed her some wurstbrote... what do you think??? hopefully she is not vegetarian... =D

why i care about her? because she impressed me in so many wonderful movies... started with muriels wedding of course, velvet goldmine (*sigh), sixth sense (she deserved a bigger part), connie and carla (watch this movie it is so so excellent) and i am looking forward to little miss sunshine, that will be played during the "verzaubert-filmfestival" starting the week after next week ... six days full of gay movies, and me has vacations ... didn't i planned this one clever??? yes, thank you...

but enough of me and my ingeniousness ... let's celebrate miss collettes birthday with a nice song

artist: the venus in furs
song: baby's on fire
album: velvet goldmine soundtrack

baby's on fire
better throw her in the water
look at her laughing
like a heifer to the slaughter

baby's on fire
and all the laughing boys are bitching
waiting for photos
oh the plot is so bewitching

rescuers row row
do your best to change the subject
blow the wind blow blow
lend some assistance to the object

photographers snip snap
take your time she's only burning
this kind of experience
is necessary for her learning

if you'll be my flotsam
i could be half the man i used to
they said you were hot stuff
and that's what baby's been reduced to

juanita and juan
very clever with maracas
making their fortunes
selling secondhand tobaccoes

juan dances at chico's
and when the clients are evicted
he empties the ashtrays
and pockets all that he's collected

but baby's on fire
and all the instruments agree that
her temperature's rising
but any idiot would know that
