WHAT A GAME!!!

has anybody seen the game italy vs usa? it was great... three red cards!!! that happened only three times before in the whole cup history - last time was 1994! i mean, most of the time the urus - by the way, i wonder if tolkien has the bad football behaviour of the uruguaian team in mind, when he invented the uruk kai - but anyway, most of the time, the urus have to be the toughest team, and they do not participate this time... so someone will have to be the badass of the tournament =D it seems the us boys will go for that title. even though the brave brian mcbride has to play on with a hole in his head after an ellbow check from danielle rossi... they lost two players by red card, and both were correct...
speaking of correct referee decisions... i saw the game portugal vs iran ... in the stadium... next to my father ... i must say, for getting me this ticket he still is a great dad... but he was such a lameass in that stadium! i wanted to hug complete strangers kiss some nice portuguese girls just because a goal was scored and all i got was a dreadful german couple that fought the whole time, because he accidently dropped his camera and she behaved like his mother... pooooooor guy... and my dad, the sitter. we had a la ola, my dad sat. we had a few goals, my dad sat, we had some bad fouls, my dad sat. we had some offsides, me jumped up screaming at the blindfish of a referee, my dad (yes, sitting) pulled me back to my seat and EXPLAINS why the referee was right - sticky note: never watch a football game 20 cm away from a former referee, no fun!! - the only time my dad staood up was 2 seconds after the game ended - and he asked, so we go now! i was paralyzed! i mean, why was this guy in the stadium at all, did he even recognized that there was something like atmosphere which i would have liked to enjoy a bit longer???
anyway... we ran out of the stadium, into the subway, back to my place where he jumped into his car and drove of home, where he arrived on time to watch the second half of the next match. yes, that's my dad! i hope i didn't catch too much of his genes =D

anyway, the us boys fought brave against italy, and the game ended 1:1, so maybe, the us team - which i have to support because of the ancient paninirules will be able to beat ghana and might end up at the eighthfinals... maybe the water runs down the sewer counterclockwise from next thursday on, who knows that???
but because we posted the us chick already, now it's time for miss italy... and when we are already there, for another great italian lady. the singer of the official worldcupsong from 1990 (where germany won the cup - btw *grin)

artist: gianna nanninni
song: un estate italiana
album: bomboloni

notti magiche
inseguendo un goal
sotto il cielo
di un'estate italiana
e negli occhi tuoi
voglia di vincere
un'estate
un'avventura in più!

quel sogno che comincia da bambino
e che ti porta sempre più lontano
non è una favole e dagli spogliatoi
escono i ragazzi e siamo noi.

notti magiche
inseguendo un goal
sotto il cielo
di un'estate italiana
e negli occhi tuoi
voglia di vincere
un'estate
un'avventura in più.

notti magiche
inseguendo un goal
sotto il cielo
di un'estate italiana
e negli occhi tuoi
voglia di vincere
un'estate
un'avventura in più!
un'avventura in più!
un'avventura... goal!
